New car.

My old car was up to pass the 2-year compulsory test. This is called"車検" (shaken) and all cars have to do it in order to stay on the road. It's a basic test and its not really that hardcore, however it is expensive.

My old car cost me ¥200,000 and the shaken test would have cost me ¥180,000 ( about 1,200pounds!!).

So I decided to buy another 2nd hand car. I managed to find this one for ¥190,000!

Suzuki Wagon R

All cars in Japan are small compared to the UK. Mine is no exception ( 650cc engine, 3.29m long)

The owner before me really pimped the car out. Thankfully the car dealer "de-pimed" it for me (at my request) but he couldn't de-pimp the most pimping thing about it....the steering wheel. Check dis out!

When I saw this, I immediately thought of this
and this!

Pole Position, 1980's arcade!!

Ikumi and I are loving my steering wheel. I'm sure our daughter will too :-D
